I started working independently in 2018 and liked it enough to go back and get real training. After getting my diploma in Digital Marketing Communications in 2020, I was working full-time in the field before I'd even graduated.
I've since worked in two different agency settings, and truthfully, that's how I learned agency life isn't for me. What it did give me: real experience managing a full plate of clients. Running social media for around 30 businesses at once, across multiple industries. That kind of volume teaches you fast what actually matters to a client versus what's just noise. These days I bring that same instinct to small art businesses... without all that agency life headache that never needed to be there.
Outside of work, I'm somewhere between a fantasy, sci-fi nerd and someone who'd rather be at an animal sanctuary petting wolves than almost anywhere else. With a partner and four furbabies, all of whom have strong opinions about my work schedule. I play music when my heart needs to speak; I paint when I want to think with my hands instead of my head, and on any given weekend I'm just as likely to be on a hiking trail or lost in a book as I am mid-rant about whatever game I'm currently obsessed with.
It started with a favour. A small art business owner needed help with their marketing, and one conversation turned into something much bigger. A company built on honesty over hype.
Karma's a Pitch was started because most business owners don't need flashier marketing; they need someone who'll be straight with them about what it actually means and how to achieve it. Every recommendation, every design, every strategy comes back to the same rule: treat people fairly, do work worth standing behind, and leave every business stronger than we found it. Lead with integrity, and good things have a way of coming back around. That's where the name comes from.
